Lombard Hall

Categories: Historical Sites

Lumbard Hall, the village’s central municipal building, was constructed in 1926 on this site using funds bequeathed by Ralph Lumbard. Over the years, it has served multiple roles within the community, including as the post office and police station. Today, it houses the Village offices, while the upper floor is home to The Lord’s House Community Church. Prior to the construction of Lumbard Hall, this property was occupied by The Park House, a hotel built in 1800 by Deacon Isaac Williams. In addition to welcoming travelers, the building also operated as a tavern, serving as an early social hub for the area. The Park House remained in in operation until it was demolished in 1899.
